NEWS ON FIRST AFTERSHOCK OF 2010!!!~!1
It all started last January when Aidan Morag and Nathan Gust threw all they had into the oven and cooked up Fight One Xperience. After a six month run on top of the wrestling world, F1X lost its flavor and it was lights out for the groundbreaking wrestling project. One year later... boom! F1X is reborn! After a few slow weeks under the guidance of Morag alone, his old partner in crime Gust came out of the woodworks to help push the group back to the top of the wrestling world.
The very first episode of Aftershock in 2010 airs LIVE on Ferbruary 1st from Miami, Florida. There is an absolutely stacked card coming up with eight matches that are part of the Universal Championship Tournament, including one Open Invitation Battle Royale With Cheese for the Vendetta Championship. With such an overwhelmingly stacked card, only time will tell whether this show will sink or swim next Monday night. Before the world can witness the events that take place next Monday night, I thought I'd take this time to run down the card for you to give you a little insight on what is coming up.
To start off the show we will see the Open Invitation Battle Royale With Cheese for the F1X Vendetta Championship. What is a Battle Royale With Cheese? It's the French version of a battle royal, of course. That is all I'm going to say about the match itself because nobody has signed up to be in the match as of this column. There are rumors floating around that a former multiple title holder from F1X's past will be in Miami to claim the Vendetta Championship as his own. Other than that, no other wrestlers are even close to confirmed.
Following that match will be the first singles match of 2010 as "The Best In The Business" Tony Barrera takes on Nico Sutton, a close friend of F1X Owner Aidan Morag. Morag's bias may be too strong for Barrera to overcome in this contest. After that bout another member of the prestigious Lukas family will debut as Norm Lukas takes on "Child of Fate" Sara Pettis, the mother of Nathan Gust's only daughter. Could Gust's bias come into play in this match as Morag's may in the previous match? There's a chance, but it is highly unlikely as Mr. Gust was the one that personally sought after Norm Lukas after talking to his cousin Johnny at a strip --- err ---- Waffle House last weekend.
The fourth match on the card is a very unique one as two members of Strike Fantsasy Towers. Yes, Fantsasy. SFT Hall of Famer SwitchBlade will take on "The Cowboy" Cowboy Jack Jones in a match that will surely draw attention to FIXit. Following that epic encounter, "The Beast" Dameon will take on Alexander King... who, yes, is another member of the controversial King family. Don't those people know how to use condoms? Sheesh. What a great match this will be, though. Alexander is young and eager to carry on the family name... and Dameon is, as his nickname suggests, a beast. Good luck, King. You're going to need it.
Following the debut of the young King, Sean Mason and Jason Albrecht will go head-to-head in what is a very unpredictable match to cover. Nobody has seen Mason in ages and Albrecht... well... I don't know anything about this man. After those men battle it out to make it to the next round of the tournament, "TAFKA Havoc" Kaleb Connors will defend the good name of WFW against Johnny Lukas... and Vivianna Sade. Johnny has already predicted that he will win the Universal Title tournament. It's up to Kaleb and Vivianna to prove him wrong. Can either of them stop the brash Lukas? We'll find out Monday night.
What else is happening Monday night? Oh... just "The Dirty Dog" Shane Clemmens taking on KC Delight in the main event of Aftershock! It was one year ago that Clemmens became the very first Universal Champion. How will things work out for him in 2010 as he takes on Delight in the first round of the tournament? I'm sure he will make a lot of claims that he's going to repeat history, but KC's awesomeness could be too much for Shane to handle. It is believed that the winner of this match will go the distance in the tournament... and possibly even win the championship.
There are rumors floating around the streets that management is in negotiations with several former F1X competitors such as Knife, The Un4chunuts, and Ian Ballistic. Another rumored name is Namen Hammer, who was on the verge of doing great things before F1X crashed last summer. Could any of the aforementioned superstars make an appearence next Monday on Aftershock? I guess you'll have to tune in Monday night to find out!
